The clip I’m sharing today is of the second solo I had on a recording with The Angelic Voices of Faith (now ‘Billy Rivers and the Angelic Voices of Faith’). Fun fact: it was recorded THE SAME NIGHT as “I Surrender All” (Getting Ready, 1995)! 😳 IKR! 🫣🤭

The title of the song is “He’ll Bring You Out” and, as the saying goes: “if you’re going to effectively minister a song, then it has to minister TO YOU first.” Well … this song preaches TO ME first no matter when we sing it! 🙏🏽 I sang BELIEVING Psalm 34:19 – “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all (ESV).” 😭🙌🏾 I was fighting for my literal LIFE in the abusive relationship that I spoke of in previous #TheEvolutionOf posts and; at the time, I had two small boys under the age of five to consider.🥺

I didn’t write the song, but its lyrics were my prayer aloud!🙏🏽 However, prayer alone didn’t cause my circumstances to change. It took strength, courage -and- prayer to leave. I had NO plan, but I knew my boys deserved better than a depressed, beat-down Mother.😢 So, I held fast to my mustard seed of faith and took a leap with my babies in tow!!

It took YEARS and a second job for me to gain some semblance of financial stability. 😓🤦🏾‍♀️ It took many more years after that to shake myself from the depths of despondency and choose LIFE! I’ve had to repeat some lessons and remind myself almost daily of what GOD SAYS about me despite what the devil whispers. By His grace and mercy, I made it!!! 😭🙌🏾

But that’s “another” song (😅) and a continuation testimony! 🙌🏾💃🏽

For now, a reminder: “keep the faith. God WILL bring you out.”! You just have to ‘pray and move your feet’.😉
