There’s no place like home.

Home is where you’re always welcome. Home is where you can always eat. Home is where you are LOVED. You can be comfortable -and- confident at home. It’s THE place you can run to for sanctuary. It’s a haven of peace. There is tolerance at home. You can bet your last dollar that somebody somewhere misses you when you’re not at home. Home is where they always “leave the light on for you”. It’s a place where you can empty the contents of your heart without fear of judgement. Home is where you will find family. Family is where you’ll find your loudest and most rambunctious cheerleaders because the home team wants to see one another WIN!

No, we won’t (and don’t) always agree. There WILL be spats (‘teeth and tongue sometimes fall out,’ as my Dad’s dear wife used to say 🕊), but in the words of my Pastor: we “don’t PARK there”! 🗣(Amen lights! 🙌🏾) Every day won’t be tulips, daisies and unicorns; but the good days FAR outweigh the bad. Every word won’t “feel” good, but they will “heal” good … -if we let them, if we take heed.

There’s NO PLACE like home sweet home and; whenever I can’t be there, I’m always somewhere wishing that I was.😊

Home for me is and has been Golden Gate Cathedral Memphis where the man of the house stands guard over our souls.🙏🏽

May God continually bless you BEYOND overflowing Bishop Edward H. Stephens Jr., Lady Beverly and my entire Golden Gate Cathedral family!!🙏🏽🥰
